China travel plan: China's Golden Triangle+ (11 days)

A classic first trip to China, with a surprise at the end. Four days in Beijing (the Forbidden City, the hutongs and the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall with its cable car and toboggan), two in Xi'an with the Terracotta Army and a bike ride on the city walls, then Shanghai with the Bund and the Lujiazui skyline. To finish, something less obvious: the port city of Ningbo and Tianducheng, China's “Paris” with its own Eiffel Tower. You fly home from Shanghai, with no need to go back to Beijing. What surprised us most in China was how clean it is – even in Beijing and Shanghai, cities of more than 20 million people.
